The Camaro Nationals have been in Frederick Maryland at the Fredereick Eventplex / Fairgrounds since 2011. Frederick is located northwest of Balitmore and Washington DC, and just south of Gettysburg PA; and is located at the convergence of several major highways. There are a good number of hotels within 4 miles of the fairgrounds, and an abundance of restaurants. The town of Frederick is a restored Civil War era city, surprisingly busy with shops, eateries, antiques. You could easily make a trip of just exploring the town. The Frederick Fairgrounds relate back to an era of 150 year ago, but have been kept updated with the times. We chose this venue, as it has a nice pattern of paved roads, with grassy areas of the Camaro to park. In addition, we secured the use of 4 buildings, the largest (building 9) is nice and bright, with multiple entrances, great restrooms, and air-conditioning. We use this building for special display cars along with judging for Legends and Bow Tie classes. The old harness racing track works great for spectator parking, and for our camping area, and the countryside makes for great rolling cruises on Thursday evenings.
